A statement issued today (March 23, 2016) by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the Government of FDRE on behalf of the people of Ethiopia offers its deepest sympathy to all the families of the victims and to the people of Belgium, adding that the thoughts and prayers of the people and Government of Ethiopia are with all Belgians and most especially with the families of those killed or wounded in these murderous attacks. The statement further said, "These appalling and outrageous attacks deserve the fullest condemnation of the entire international community. They are made for no reason; they are no more than cowardly attacks against innocent people, men, women and children, with no political interests or involvement. They demonstrate, yet again, that terrorists never offer more than mindless criminal violence." "Our prayers and sympathies once again remain with the people of Belgium and of Europe in this time of mourning," it added.
