- 174 states and the European Union have signed the Agreement, while 15 states have ratified it on April 22nd (Earth Day)
- To come to effect when ratified by 55 UNFCCC (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change) Parties, accounting for 55% of global greenhouse gas emissions
