Brussels , Belgium ( Agencies + DIPLOMAT.SO) – The European Commission has announced €77m in funding for the Horn of Africa, with aid reaching Somalia, Kenya and Ethiopia. The commission said that the region faces a multitude of crises from recurrent cycles of conflict to food insecurity and natural disasters, affecting millions of people. The Horn of Africa currently hosts some 1.7 million refugees, mostly from South Sudan and Somalia, more than half a million of whom live in Kenya.
