Addis Ababa, July 15, 2017 (FBC) –Leaders and members of opposition political parties today visited potable water and wastewater treatment plants being built in Addis Ababa.
They visited the plants under construction by the Addis Ababa Water and Sewerage Authority (AAWSA) at Mekanisa, Kaliti, Akaki and Koye Feche areas.
After visiting the projects, they commented that the projects could help close the gap between water supply and demand in the city.
The leaders and members of the parties also called for the speedy completion of the projects as they are also enable to recycle sewage into drinking water.
AAWSA is endeavoring to finalize the construction of water projects as per schedule, including Kality wastewater management plant which could produce more at 100,000 cubic meters per day.
