Addis Ababa, July 4, 2016 (FBC) –Preparations have been finalized to celebrate Eid-al-Fitr, the end of Ramadan, at Addis Ababa stadium, said the Addis Ababa Islamic Affairs Supreme Council (AAIASC).
In a press conference he gave here today, Sheik Mohammednur Sheik Ahmed Shafi, President of the Council said “if the moon is seen today, it will be celebrated tomorrow. Otherwise it will be marked on Wednesday.”
The President finally called on Muslims to discharge their responsibilities for the peaceful celebration of Eid-al-Fitr, which symbolizes the concept of tolerance and unity.
Addis Ababa-based diplomats and ambassadors are also expected to attend the event.
